Wild Winds

Gentle breezes cool the land and help facilitate genetic diversity; sending pollen and spores to far away places.

Where as more tempestuous winds can snap trees, carve earth, and stir something deep within us.

No matter the degree of intensity, wind is undeniably an activating force.

It is the lymphatic fluid of the atmosphere; circulating, cleaning, preventing stagnancy and buildup of non-beneficial energies.

The wind is an invisible force that breathes life and movement into anything it touches; and the world thus, feels more alive.

Activation stirring deep in my bones,

as the northeastern winds rip through the estuary.

Once a calm, sunny day

now ignited by the presence of frigid, pacific breath

keeping us sharp, on our toes,

no room for anything but

absolute presence.

Nowhere but here.

Maneuvering 30 small bodies in small boats

through the white capped water.

Arms ache, skin tightens, adrenaline rises.

Patience tested.

Wether or not desirable,

these are the symptoms of activation.

Something I so deeply crave,

that activation from deep within

like an entheogen,

clearing stagnancy, testing my body,

pushing my limits.

On the fecund edge of my boundaries,

I dance.

Great winds, shaping the land

do you know your might?

The way you dictate all of life?

The way you blow away expectation

and cast ripples on pools of stagnation?

The way you stir cosmic foces

that live within me?

Thank you, great winds

for this sore body and fatigued mind,

stirring the sands in the passage of time

and all the lessons intertwined.

Now, the winds within me

blow through my lips

and sing a new song.

Gone, gone, beyond

I blow,

I flow,

so far

from the one who directed my sails

and into these uncharted seas.

I bow to you, great winds of Love

of relation

of ceaseless change.

I am relishing in your activation.
