As of Oct 2024, we are taking a break from organizing our own fungal ecology walks.

That said, we are open to doing private/custom walks! Please use the contact form to inquire/organize with us. Also, we will be hired by other organizations like Fork in the Path, Stewards of the Redwood Coast and others. We will do our best to post our events on our home page and event board, but feel free to contact us to find out sooner!

Last year's description:
We are so excited to bring to you another season of guided fungi walks and experiential ecological education. We host all of our walks at a private, 1,700 acre conservation easement located in Stewart’s Point, CA. If you’d like a private/custom walk elsewhere, please let us know!

All of our walks are from 10am-3pm. We begin with a half hour of introductions, a basic fungal biology/ecology lesson and a yummy, warm beverage. From about 10:30-2pm we seek fungal friends in the forest and talk about them in situ! We wrap up the day with an hour or so of detailed identification skills/nuance, questions, discussion and sometimes a cooking demo before we depart around 3pm.

• We try to keep our classes as affordable as possible while still supporting ourselves and our work. However, we offer BIPOC scholarships and support for anyone who simply cannot afford the cost as well as free walks for kiddos under 10! If this pertains to you, please reach out via the contact form at the bottom of this page.

• If you need to cancel after registering, you can email us to either choose another date or we can refund you minus the fees we are charged to accept payments online. If you need to cancel, please do so ideally more than 24 hours prior to your selected date.
